My hatch shell was hit with colour yesterday. Went to the painters today for a quick look. Looking really good - bonnet and scuttle were bead blasted and primed today :) Hopefully everything else will be hit with colour on friday or Saturday. I'll update with pics soon.
Not much to see yet - just a freshly painted hatch shell waiting for flares/spoilers/panels - And its Devil Yellow (late model monaro)

MODS, this will not be a copyright problem as the mag is 31 years old.
The company, and legal entity no longer exists.

Got a great Oct. 1977, "Bathurst Special" Motor Manual magazine off Ebay.

Great read.

Found an article on A9X, and an add for the same, but spec'd as "Limited Edition".
[car is same in both pics.]

Thought some might find it interesting. Still had chrome around tail lights,
all-be-it painted black. Also had an interesting strip package, not unlike a G-pack!

Does anybody know the wheels used? They look like a cross between
the LE Monaro honeycomb and a hotwire..

Enjoy.

Oh, and a great article on the "Silver Fox's last hunt". I'll scan that too.

And another article on the Taipan/Mystere/Concorde.

my mate has the turbo hx and he did have it at the 02 monaro nationals. it no longer has the turbo set up and it has a shaker bonet scoop in it.(he bought it that way). it was built for john bagshaw and designed by leo, the torana and hx have the same paint design with the stripes just different colors. the badge on the torana in the white stripe inbetween the door and the rear flare is the same design as the rts badge but instead of rts it says gm and instead of radial tuned suspension it says staff design. i will post a pic later on tonight of the frt of the monaro and you will see the same badge underneith the guard vents on the front. the wheels were 15 x 7". he plans to restore the monaro back to the way it was possable minus turbo unless he can find the parts. he has had heaps of meatings with leo and typical leo remembered everything about this car.

It's great to hear that the one-off cars like this survive. Thanks for the picture - it will be great to get it back to new condition.

Great to see that Leo's Turbo Monaro is still around, makes you wonder what other Beasty Cars from Styling and Experimental Engineering might be out there and not found yet.
