rip the mirror off and throw it into the scrub, its the only way to win, besides how many people these days use the bloody things.

My mum swears by that stuff, apparently better than anything she's tried before. Those Germans must be using some special chemicals.

Surface/Barrier spray. Provides 3 months protection, which is most of summer.

Pretty sure a number of companies make it, including Baygon and Mortein, so take your pick.

I had one behind my mirror of my Pulsar, bloody thing came out while going up the freeway at 110km! Anyone that knows me knows that I shook and cried, I'm TERRIFIED of spiders! I got home, turned the mirror all the way in and down so that there was a gap and sprayed a whole can of spray down there and all over the mirror.
Almost a year later, I think it's screwed the mirror (can't seem to get it clean anymore) but no spider. Mission accomplished!

I see this a lot, my sister in-law once sprayed a spider till it was covered in white foam. It’s just wasting money.

A droplet on their body does the job, insects don’t have lungs they breathe through spiracles, which are holes all over their skin.

May be wasting money, but its satisfying.

Especially when your holding your lighter in front of the bug spray.

Cheers.

Yeah, it does depend on their size, I've noticed some of the bigger cockroaches do need a bit more if you want to kill them quicker but as long as you hit them you'll find them dead somewhere a bit later on.

I painted a white tail spider white with Mortien once. It took 25 minutes for it to finally stop wiggling... and possibly screaming in pain... I dunno.

It didn't need that much, one spray will usually kill it ..... eventually. The insects usually run away and die elsewhere later. The timeframe can depend on size of insect and quantity/type of spray used.

I first gave it one spray. I almost got the feeling it was giving me the finger saying... what else ya got?. Hence the 'paintjob'.

Don't spray it! you could be upsetting some fragile ecosystem.

I sprayed some spiders that kept making webs on the parcel shelf, both ran, but didn't make it outside before dying.. because there were a bunch of ants eating a dead spider in the back seat a couple of days later.

I got rid of the dead spider, but now there are more ants, and I have no idea where they're coming from OR what they're eating. They must have a nest, because I saw at least two carrying eggs the other day. Vacuuming them up doesn't work, because more just come from somewhere, and the interior is totally black.

Now I have to find some kind of replacement spider to get rid of the ants...

Yeah, just the other night I sprayed a cockroach, come home from work the next day and found it on its back in another room wriggling.

Lol, that old myth.

Sadly many white tails were innocently killed out of this fear.
