all going now and goes quite well to about 4000 then starts pinging so cant go to hard. engine man went on holidays so will get him to check out plus have booked in for dyno tune next week. have had a play with timing and backed it of a bit but still doing it any ideas to check.??. every thing new dizzy was graphed by hume so would think be ok?? they said set timing at 18 degrees.. see what happens but cant what to stretch it legs

bomber.  the bit of paper you get with the dizzy it said set at 18 and thats what we did. from there i backed it of little bit at a time  till it was pinging more so went back a bit left it there. will get engine man to put timing light on this weekend. carb is straight out of box to.. just thought that timing is usually the cause of pinning its only got 10.5 comp so would not think that would be the problem..

plugs are ngk R bpr6efs and 13 under that.. just pulled no 1 out and looks clean  border line lean but was after a drive on open road

just pulled out to more plugs they are different bp6efs  

 

witch plugs should i run you think

I think if you have high compression (10.5) you use a colder plug. Very nice well balanced FB.

Pretty sure the r in the bp"r"6ef means its a resistor plug.
Probably a mix up by spare parts store.

well cant leave things alone.. have bought a 112 magnuson supercharger carby top mount and getting a kit made now..should have the charger and kit back January.. engine is pulled down taking some comp out of it.. hope to get going again march some time .. will hope to get some pics up then..cheers
