A great day out.
If you live in SEQ, like XU-1's and have never been to see real racing, now is the time to go.
Morgan Park this weekend, Lakeside later in the month.

I went and checked it out this morning, I wish I had done the whole weekend. The site and sound of so many XU-1's screaming around was awesome.

Only just seen this.  I was there too. Great weekend and a huge turn out of Torries. .  The Craig allen Orange 68 and the Green NSW 25 ( purported to be the fastest Group nc torana in aus... apologies forgotten drivers name??? ..) were in scintillating form and great drives by both all weekend. I think Craig lowered his own lap record, .. and the back straight was bumpy as.....

There were tussles all over the field, and as said above the sounds were awsome.

The poor old falcon actually came off pretty well, considering full loss of brakes at the end of the main straight.  GW was shaken up but ok, but it was a big off.... basically skipped over the gravel trap/ditch

nice pics, ta.

If either of those Toranas you mentioned can give the blue Williams car a touch up, then they certainly are fast.

That blue car is seriously quick.

p.s.that old black Pontiac would be a handfull on the track....check out the rubber stuck to the front tires!...obviously it works them pretty hard

Your XU1 is looking good there John. Wouldn't be many Nutmeg's left these days.

Thanks Dave, I only know of one more personally and it lives in VIC. But there could be more.
