Does anyone keep screen shot of prices of L31 hatches for sale or sold? If so could you post then up or email me them to me please. fredgreen5678@live.com.au

My ex and new boyfriend have my house, children, Torana's and everything I own. Now her solicitor is telling me that L31 hatches are $5000. I need to prove they are worth a lot more than 5000.

I got offered $30k unseen a couple of months ago...

He is probably going off Redbook estimates lol, quick look on Torana Facebook groups and they get snapped up pretty quick for wayyyy more than what your ex's Solicitor thinks ..

Maybe transfer into a trusted family or friends name and tell the Police it's stolen or I'll buy it for twice the solicitors value lol...

That sounds frOcking terrible mate. I hope you've seen a lawyer bud because it sounds like you're going to need one. 5K for an L31 hatch is low balling to the extreme.

That is the least of my troubles.

Example,

You own 50% of a house and then shift a woman in. Say the house is worth $100,000 at the time. Then 10year later your house is worth $500,000 and split up. That 50% of the house 10yrs later is still only worth 50k and you fight over the 450k.

:wtf:  How did she do that

Use to be 50/50 in any marriage/defacto relationship but break-ups sometimes do get messy

Good luck with it

I agree with the others, go back when they are not home and take the fur king cars

Hope you are working your way through this.......maybe you need to request access to vehicle and get ,say, 2 valuers to appraise  it.

Take the higher of the 2 values.

The other lawyer is obviously working for their client, low balls you....now you need to prove otherwise.

Shouldnt be hard to do that...or.......get them to agree to auction on Ebay...but pull it 2 minutes prior to end....that will establish its value.

Not nice...but desperate times....

She will be happy when I'm living on the streets or locked away. I watched her do the same to her last ex. Now I understand why he came back and smashed all the panels of her metal finished HG brougham. The step-daughter said a few months ago how does someone who has never worked afford a car like that. Also she done her best and tax payer dollars to keep the old 2 children from ever seeing him. Had him locked up and then got him bent over while in there.

Both of these reviews are a few months old, and prices have definitely risen since.

https://www.tradeuni...01b485e13a51b67

Determining how much to pay for an unmolested six-cylinder Hatch is challenging. A glance back to the Aussie Value Guide of 2006 showed the LX SL 3.3 Hatch in Cond. 1 at $8000. 4.2-litre versions of the SL cost 50 percent more and the SS 5.0-litre a hefty $18,500.

Assuming price relativities have remained constant and knowing that a very good SS will today bring around $70-80,000, the ‘six’ in similar condition should manage $30-35,000. 4.2-litre V8s in SL trim have hit $45,000 while an SS with the same engine should reach $60,000.

https://www.tradeuni...a-market-review

One bright point for Hatch owners, but perhaps not for buyers, was a surge in asking prices for authentic LX SS 5.0-litre cars.

SS fakes and SL V8s remain below $50,000 but real deal 5.0-litre cars are headed above $80,000.

SL/R 5000s offered at $70,000 should sell for $55-60,000, but scarce L/34s have enough track cred to make $100,000.

Ten years ago, Torana SL V8 sedans were ignored and selling for $7000. Now look at them!

LH-LX V8 $29,265 [11]

LX V8 Hatch $53,500 [4]

LH-LX SL/R 5000 $50,375 [0]

LX SS Hatch $71,500 [4]

L34/A9X Sedan $129,500 [4]

A9X Hatch [N/S] (@ $230k at subsequent auction)

[recorded sales]

Values from 2015-16. Concours cars will fetch a premium.

Can only end the auction with more than 12 hours left last time I checked.

Mate trust me, I've been there done that, ( as probably some other have here too )

Its all an asset grab at the moment . Tread carefully. Lawyers are trying to formulate an asset register when totalled will = a gross value. If you argue the vehicle is worth more, when you want to get it back its going to cost you more on your side of the asset register.

Let her say its what its worth 5k. that's fine. the total property pool gets pulled down. But when you say I want my car/s back they are only worth 5k to 'buy' of the asset register and not the 50k you want for it.

Example. If all your property and assets is worth for argument sake and shits and giggles 400k including everything. Taking for granted you have no liabilities ( debts )

Your arguing for a percentage of the asset pool. I don't know if you have kids, but it sounds like she's been a kept woman...so you need to provide for her..loose 15% of your 50% - don't argue..it's just the way it is.

So your looking for 30 - 35% of the 400k = 140k

If you buy your torana at 5k your still looking for = 135k as a payout in cash super or assets

If you value it at 70k - your only looking to get 70k payout as either cash (or super) or assets. ( do you see what I'm saying here ) It doesn't matter what the cars values at now. If its agreed your getting it, it can remain at 5k. If she's trying to take it off you...its needs to be 100k

My bill for the advice  is in the mail...( my lawyer bill was 55k for the separation.. learn from my experience. )

As i said above... I did what i said.. Here's my "$3700" dollar torana..... worth  now sooooooo much more.. i think alot of people here would agree for a a very good SS clone...

Good luck with the separation, Keep you head or get a free AVO or breach....

PPS this is whatim refering too for a table of assets - The figure were accurate at that time... but you can see what i mean buy them trying to formulate an asset register to work out the total sum of your assets that need s to be divided...

the trick is anything your gonna keep is meant to be under valued or cheap - anything she's getting has to over valued or expensive..

see attached schedule image for an example...

Only reasons I'm putting my balls out for you is cause..

A: a fellow brother with a nice torana and its a real SS

B: refer to A

C: frOcking bitches....

D: refers to C and A

Top work Scott, sad thing to go through, a good solicitor is needed, if you haven't already got 1 you need 1, take a notebook with questions every time & the hardest part is to keep calm & have a poker face. Best of luck with it, Gary.
