I just thought it odd and was wondering why. FYI the chassis stamped into the body for mine shows it was number 17634 build. The one above was body number 1747?. Couldn't make out the last number and there was no photo of the actual chassis stamp on the body and the one on the tag was really blurry. That made it being built around 160 odd before mine. However the body number on the tags puts it 40 cars later than mine.
That being said the photos of the car itself show some differences to an all 'original' L34. There is a big gap between the front indicators and spoiler indicating a different nosecone.
There is no chrome 'smiley' strip at the lower end of the nosecone and I can't see any of the lugs that were factory welded to mount the smiley strip and where are the TORANA letters?.
All of this might just mean it's been in a prang and the front replaced.
Looking further it doesn't have the original mounting washers for the flares. These went over the edge of the flare and onto the rubber mounting strip and were clearly visible.
It does not have the grey golfball inserts in the seats that were standard to the L34 yet the add says 'original trim'.
To me the scuff plates look wrong and are a dull metalic look.
The spare wheel retaining nut is wrong. The boot area has carpet and lining around the arches.
Little things maybe but when added together it's far from an original survivor and as the add says 'unmolested'.
On top of that I reckon you'd have a field day if you could have a close up look under the bonnet.
