Hi.

Has anyone fitted 215 tyres on the rear of a LC Torana. I have mags that will take the tyre and the local tyre shop  has them.

I am just wondering if the tyres will hit the guards. I have measured and it should be OK but I thought someone might have fitted these and has experience. Also looking at putting 205's on the front.

Cheers John

215's will shit it in. I used to have 225/60/13 Eagers on 13x6 sprintmasters with two XU1 wheel spacers on each wheel on the rear and they didn't rub.

Thanks. So 215's on the front of a LC Torana are OK also. Won't hit the guards on cornering.? That way I will have the same size tyre all round

With no spacers, not lowered heaps, should be fine, if you have a torana rim (offset wise) i had 205/60/13 on the sprint masters + the spacers, no issues, so you'll be all good. Are you going 60 series ? Gary

Thanks Gary  . Yep 60 series. Just thinking about guard clearance and heavy steering at low speed.

I had to have mine perched up mainly because
offset of rebels with 215s
i think thats all you have to worry about
really long as you have good springs.when i
first put these on just to see how she looked
it was a little lower with the old springs
was on abit of a slope reversing and i could
see the body leaning over and tire was going
to dig into the lip on rear.new lovells fixed
it.first pic std springs.lovells in sec.i
like the look better in first pic but still
having original lips was another reason to
have her a little higher than the norm.

Thanks for your advice. I decided to go with the 205's. They look great and I won't have any issues of the guard rubbing on the tyre when I go round a corner on two wheels.  Cheers John
