Yes, penrite HPR30, its  good high zinc oil- its a bit thick for my licking but it does the job, is readily available and is specifically designed for classics with flat tappet cams.

I can even use HPR 30 in my little red cute car. It seems to have many application uses.

I think most people you ask will use HPR30, including me.

There's also a Nulon 25W-60 'Street and Track' product which has extra zinc & molybdenum in it. Apparently a few of my friends use this in their competition cars.

My VE SSV ute started to get lifter noise and the oil pressure was always very low when warm with the Mobil 1, changed the oil to Penrite, picked up lots of pressure and no lifter noise, been in for 5000ks and no issues, was almost going to pull the motor down, but only had 150,000 ks on it.

25/60 may be a little thick if its not loose enough in the bottom end.

Sames here.  My clearances are a little on the loose side so the thicker oil shouldn't be a problem for my motor.

We need the thicker stuff to combat the ambient temps.

That's right. It's a steamy 13 degrees here at the moment.

I use Castrol Edge 25w/50 at the recommendation of my engine builder after trying just about everyone else. Seems to work the best with the old red motors in my experience.

I found Penrite oils to be among the worst, at least when I used them for a stint a few years back. Even the HPR30. Seemed too thick for what it was and although it kept the motor quiet, it felt to me like the motor was working harder when on it.

Again, just my experience. I wouldn't say the Castrol Edge makes the world of difference, it's not like I'm picking up hp compared to other oils or anything, but it does the job and that's all I need it to do

Oils are not oils, the more you read about them the more questions you will have, so many variables to consider and the oil companies dont want to let out all there secrets.
I would look at what is easiest to get your hands on in the area, its great to use these big performance name brands but getting a hold of them is troublesome and if you need a top up cant just duck down to the shop.

I would think hrp 30 would be fine, its a bit thick to be standing on the throttle before oil temp comes up but once oil temp is hot, prob handle heat load better.
A 15w would be a bit nicer.
Penrite should be fine, have heard good things about nulon.
There are synthetic oils with high zinc and additives to suit flat tappet cams, for run in tho would go the mineral.

I managed to get a hold of 5L of this for my little red cute car.... Bit of a hassle. All the Auto shops here said they could order it in, but they had to order Qty: 4 and that I had to buy all 4.....????

Rapeco was the only help and got one transferred across from Darwin.

You'd think they would make something specifically for Aussie Muscle cars also?
