Hi all,

Just an update on my Torry build as I finally managed to get it to the track after a few dramas.

74 LH flared 4 door with an efi ls conversion, 4l80e, 9 inch with 3.7 gears. 1350kg weight probably closer to 1400 due to the 100l drop tank being 3/4 full.

I originally had a 700r4 transmission which I fried pretty quick once I put stickier tyres on it so upgraded to a 4l80e.

Built a new wiring harness, yoke, x member, cooler etc. Its a tight fit but it goes. Couple of brake issues sorted.

Still logging and tuning at the track, managed 11.34 @ 125 mph, tune still has a fair way to go, launching off idle on green.

60ft time 1.8s  1/2 track time 7.4s

Will get my tune cleaned up once I get  a new wide band  sensor. Pretty happy so far, driven to and from the track, 45min drive each way car doesn't have a big stall and I am trying to cruise it regularly now.

It's a good time so far, well done.
As far as the AFR gauge goes I've recently replaced my old Innovate lm-2 with an AEM FAIL-SAFE WIDEBAND gauge. I'm very happy with the new gauge.

High 10's with that mph.

11.3 sounds good with easy takeoff & 3.7 gears.

What size stally & rwhp?

I have seen the AEM fail safe ones, the fail safe stuff is pretty cool. I have the LC1 Innovate and it has been really good for the last 4 or 5 years tuning my Ls turbo WB. I really should have done a full cal on it before I took it racing as I usually would but was short on time and winged it. Didn't pay off for me.

I haven't had it back on the dyno since I blew up the 700r4 trans, when I did it had 410rwhp/424rwtq with dyno time cut short due to trans leak. Restrictive intake piping doesn't help it either.

I have since done the 4l80e trans, a full twin 3" exhaust with high flow cats, crossover and High flow chambered mufflers which replaced the twin 2.5" with 2" tailpipes and started cleaning the tune up since then.

I am doing all the tuning myself so only get bits of time between crap weather and life commitments.

Would like to crack a 10 on motor and still have really good street manners and decent economy as this is our second car that we cruise really. Not too far off considering my driving and the tune still not quite there.

Looks good, I like the engine bay pic. It's a neat conversion.

125mph is an easy 10 second pass. I ran 123mph and ran 10.9. You will bolt it in once you have it all sorted
