more than likely been asked already but I am trying to confirm part numbers for the following to suit above car
MANIFOLD
CARBY
AIR CLEANER
According to the parts catalogue I have come up with the following
Manifold 9929854
Carby 17050641
Air Cleaner 9931795
The reason I'm asking is that I've read some threads that have completely different parts numbers for the same car and parts
cheers
John

Maybe the parts are different pre & post ADR for pollution equiptment?

The LH gurus will chime in I imagine.

I’ve found more often than not the part number cast onto the item does not match the number in the parts book.

Example. The LH pets book shows P/N: 9929854 for the inlet manifold. However mine has 2823087 cast into it…

^^^^^^^^ Correct.

Also AFAIK there were no pollution gear changes throughout the LH model run, except for the addition of a carbon canister around Jan 75. All LHs had to comply with ADR27.

Inlet manifold and carby is the same as 308 HQ I think. I have also heard that there is a difference in the Quadrajets between auto and manual? An extra vacuum line somewhere perhaps?

This is from HKTG. The HQ and LH manifold wont have the threaded hole next to the thermostat housing.

Thats mine. Not perfect. But does the job. I had a marine propeller repair shop carry out repairs on this one to get it up to scratch.

Two different part numbers listed for each. I’d assume perhaps an extra Vac take off port for the auto one as a guess?

Those will be the part number of the complete assembly, which doesn’t appear on the carb anywhere. Individual components will have their number cast in, such as throttle body, air horn and main body.

Holden part numbers in the book. Rochester (or Carter) part numbers on the components.

I did some research into the L34 manual choke Quaddie a couple of years ago, but I have never looked into the auto choke variety. This list should help ensure you get the right one. I will phone a friend as he might know which one you are looking for, but I assume it will be the same as Brads.
