I have found some brand new 45 DCOE's x2 carbies for my 308.

1 thing Im not sure of is that these are twin choke per carb, did the L34 race cars run twin chokes?

Yes, certainly the early HDT L34's ran 2 x 45 mm twin choke Webers.

Then 48mm and I seem to remember they tried 58MM off an open wheeler.
