LC LJ Coupe outer weatherstrip clips

Basically assemble all the components into the door first starting with door lock mechanisms, window regulator and bailey channel then the window. Install the 1/4 window assy, align the window into the bailey channels then fit and tighten 1/4 window fixing screws. Leave the glass at the bottom of the door. Then fit outer weatherstrip, inner strip, lift up glass enough to engage window regulator, wind window up further and install window buffer/stop. Check operation of window up and down and adjust position of 1/4 window assy in door frame if necessary if window is too tight.

Hey GTR-1, followed your instructions and whipped up two installation tools out of scrap metal I had lying around and Voila, piece of piss! The thinner silver one worked better as you could get better angles/ movement through gap in window, and wasn't anywhere as daunting/hard as I thought it would be. Thanks for advice, really helped. Best part is if ever need to remove strips, don't have to worry about trying to cut or remove adhesive/sealant which I reckon could be a PIA. I had a few old spare clips lying around so put 5 on each window to help seat nice and snug. Still might put a bit of sikaflex at small gaps around 1/4 vents ect, The addition to this thread may help forum members in the future, Cheers paul
