Old Skool One Tonner ( race car)

Its had a run when tuned. Cant remember number off the top of my head, think it was low-mid 200s (stock engine remember). Will hit the rollers again once the nitrous is set up so will give a better idea.

Went out again tonight. Had 6 runs with a new PB of 12.1@109mph.

Only a 1.7 60ft but a set of full slicks on the rear seemed to be a massive improvement in traction, and the car is feeling stronger than ever. A little tune up by Rigoli had the car shifting hard and running perfect.

Everyone involved is ecstatic. After all the hard yards of seeing it in pieces being fixed, to now racing consistently with some very respectable times behind it is awesome.

New NX Nitrous kit is on its way in the coming weeks...

Well, I've been having a look around these forums and found a few of the old threads so thought Id give an update on projects which are still going. 

 

The race car is still competing, began its 6th year at the Atura Championships at Sydney Dragway this year but obviously that came to an abrupt halt. 

 

Has been a very consistent car with minimal issues. New sheet metal 9inch after the original imploded on the start line and a few gearbox niggles but managed an 8th place overall last year out of over 40 cars. Considering we missed a round due to marking, it was a great result. 

 

Current PB is 10.8@120mph.
