I emailed Davies Craig as one of the mounting feet on my fan has cracked in two.

This was the response:

Many thanks for your email.
Please go onto our website and identify the exact part which needs
replacing, which I suspect is one of the Mounting Feet, Part # 0604.
I'll arrange to have this sent to you, no charge.

Kind Regards,

JOHN F BENSON

My response:

Thanks John,
It does look like the mounting feet on the website part # 0604.
The fan is a 16 inch diameter and has 4 mounting feet.

I've had the fan for a couple of years so possibly the heat over time has caused the plastic to become brittle or the mechanic tensioned it wrong when I had the radiator serviced a year ago.

I'd like more than one as a spare just in case the another is on the way out.

Regards,

The reply:

Cheers Stephen,

We are always happy to support and help out a Davies Craig customer – a ‘dying art’ with many other companies unfortunately.
We trust you enjoy many more useful years with our product.

I have posted you a pack of Mounting Feet (4) today.

Got the mounting pack today and John threw in a Davies Craig pocket diary.

I replaced the mounting foot with no problems and I thought all this deserved a mention.

Totally agree.
I had a very similar experience with the rubber gasket that seals the capiliary tube in the radiator hose for a thermo switch.
