I recently obtained a 202 which came off a trimatic which i want to run a 4 speed box from.
i find that the end of the crankshaft has a much larger hole. the new spigot bush is much smaller .It would seem that the crank shaft is different .
would this be right?
whats the remedy?
the supplier has only 1 spigot bush listed.
i was of the impression that there was no difference in the crank shafts.
appreciate comments & an easy remedy if poss.

The crankshafts should be the same, the manual spigot bush goes inside the hole where as a torque converter support bush sits out of the hole.
you might have to go get a piece of brass turned to suit...brass drifts are cheap donors

you might have to go get a piece of brass turned to suit...brass drifts are cheap donors
thanks for that the bush i got is 20.62 exterior dia the hole in the end of the shaft is 27.47 mm outside dia sems odd cant work this out.
the bush fits into the end of the shaft not into the fly wheel??

Mate there's nothing wrong with your crankshaft, they've given you the wrong spigot bush.

Thanks Dave i rang sua cheap they recon the part no was right, there is only the one available, but my measurements are pretty right i think sound right to you certainly far too small, i better check it out further, certainly the crank shaft has not been altered by what i can see..

Thanks Dave i rang sua cheap they recon the part no was right, there is only the one available, but my measurements are pretty right i think sound right to you certainly far too small, i better check it out further, certainly the crank shaft has not been altered by what i can see..
SuperCrap's parts book is 100% wrong.
I measured a NOS Holden spigot bush and it's OD looks to be the same as the 27.47mm OD measurement you obtained in the end of the crank.
AFAIK all Holden red, blue and black 6cyl engines used the same spigot bush with the Aussie 3 & 4spd manual transmission.

I haven't used a micrometer for about 25 years, so I'm guessing those images mean that a 202 spigot bush is:
1.098" O.D.
0.590" I.D.
0.757" thick?

Yeah, you be correct there Chopper.
However, I did those pics in a hurry so the measurements may not be 100% accurate but very close.
BTW, the spigot bush fits all Red 6 engines, Blue & Black 6. Might even suit the old grey motor and possibly 253 & 308.

Update on the Holden Red, Blue, Black 6 cyl crankshaft spigot bush.
Found out today GMH still service this part, so should be easily procured through your local Holden parts dealer, and only approx $10.00.
