G'day,

Do Rarespares sell replacement plastic plugs that are used to mount (or secure) the 'TORANA' badge to the nose-cone? I'm not quite sure what they're called, so here's a picture...

If you dont get any replies, let me know. Ive been meaning to pull my Mini out of its bubble for the last few months now as I have to re-fit the dizzy. I could possibly have a poke around and see if I can measure the ones that I used. From memory, I reckon they will do they trick.

Edit: I just got onto my Mini mates, I think they might be able to get some dimensions for us!

I may have some in the shed that I could photograph/measure.

They are not the same, but I would have thought one of the 1/8" CLIP BADGE RETAINER PUSH IN TYPE clips would work.

Les, does Rares still make the letters, or have they been discontinued? I think I'm short an A.

I have a handful of letters, some with the little metal push in plugs referred to above. I took a sample letter and plug to rares capalaba and old mate scratched his noggin and said he'd never seen them before. Ended up selling me something he reckoned would do the job (commodore I think) but I would have to nip the ends off them to fit. They didnt do the job at all as they were way too big in diameter.

If someone does find something that works from rares, spectrum, whatever, I will be buying a set as well. Blutak just doesnt seem to cut it :D
