Epoxy wet on wet waiting times

From my experience acrylic needs something to bite into for good adhesion or a good key eg 320 grit. 600grit is to fine to get a good key with 2k as the thinners in the acrylic lacquer will not touch the 2k. As for movement it's not a build coat but to provide a good key and moves the same as the acrylic lacquer topcoat so no issues.

Maybe we should start another thread in painting?

Wet rubbing all the way much healthier and don't have to listen to the compressor.

My understanding is enamels "adhere" where as acrylics "key"....................but I'm an Ol' fart

I haven't seen adhesion problems with the acrylic top coat over a 2 pack high build & I've never heard of 1 before, so that surprises me. We always used finer than 600 wet and dry, but there really wasn't many acrylic jobs done at all in shops in the last 20 years. But some thinners can be stronger or more bitey than others that's for sure.
