Personally I prefer to go to the Longwarry event, seems to have more going on. Gotta love a swap meet and I like the sound of having the 3 course meal and live music later in the evening. I also prefer to get on a long freeway and just cruise. No power in my car obviously

I can do the 6th but it'll have to be daytime for me too. Mick is gonna come too if it's daytime. I'm not bringing a Torrie - the red LH is parked in tight by another few cars so I'll just hitch a ride or bring another car

Wow, this has grown legs - good stuff!

I think we should do our own thing....meet up at say 12ish, cruise about somewhere, grab a burger or whatever and then hook onto the Black Saturday cruise (starts in Lilydale). There are some pretty damn impressive cars that get along to this and given we aren't all Torana's, I reckon we'd look pretty good with Heaths wagoooooon and Waynos stang.

From Lilydale, can either do the cruise to Healesville or blow that and head back in the Melbourne direction...

To be honest, I don't care either way. I'm happy to drive wherever

Water pump is done and i'll be taking the car out for a test drive this afternoon.

Happy to go on a cruise but don't want to be travelling from Lilydale to Healesville, as Healesville's a fair trip back for me. This will be the longest trip this cars been on since I've had it.

I did want to take my Mustang to a mechanic on Saturday morning in Dandenong who specializes in tuning these old engines. I'll try and book it in about 10ish.

Unfortunately there just aint much on in the way of car events this weekend. Hopefully someone can find something we can do preferably back towards town.

Don't stress Wayne, if we go to Lillydale, and some want to continue to Healsville I will travel back with you. To be honest the distance between the two is not that far, and we can come back through Christmas Hills and Diamond Creek. Not a bad round trip at all

So, plan is to meet at the Manhattan hotel carpark at 12 noon (cnr of Canterbury Rd and Heatherdale Rd Ringwood).

Depart at 12.15ish and cruise to Sally's Big Ass Burgers in Upper Beaconsfield for lunch.  (http://www.sallysbigassburgers.com.au/)

Get out of there at say 2ish and either head in the Lilydale direction for the start of the Black Saturday cruise or head in an alternate direction if everyone wants.  We can talk it over whilst gawking at Sally's big ass

Sorry guys, we've committed to the Black Saturday cruise. With 3 kids in tow, the idea of trying to do both makes me shudder!!! Enjoy the burgers! Wayne - keep us posted how the tune goes - I'm looking around myself at the moment for gun old school carby tuners.
