Who gets along? I've been going on and off recently as I've been drinking less and wanting to get up early to work on the car on weekends. The turnout can be a bit 'hit and miss' but I've gone to some pearlers.

For anyone on here who doesn't know, it's a free event in the servo carpark after 5pm (it's really peaking about 8pm I reckon). A bunch of Commodores as you'd expect but a lot of American stuff, bunch of Toranas, lots of Pro Street style stuff, a handful of Rotaries and Jap cars.

Not exactly diverse, but still a solid event.

It usually conflicts with my schedule mate but I've been to some rippers previously.

Generally a decent bunch of dudes and a good spread of old tin.

I am keen to tag along next time. Tonight was supposed to be some cocktail party, but the baby sitter didn't turn up. So I had to stay home. Only cocktail I like is the one I put in the fuel tank. So no big loss. Would be good to go in summer when there is still daylight.

I went last week with the Torana cruiser club. Big turn out, or so I thought. Apparently there was 1500 cars the week before. Nice mix of cars, and not too many modern cars. I got there early, around 5:00. And left at 7:30. There would have been a few hundred cars there. 35 Toranas I believe.

The police actually just do their job. They are there on and off to make sure there is no issues.
If you cruise in and cruise out they leave you alone, and possibly give you a nod of approval for your car.
Give your car a rev for no reason, or take off hard, spin your wheels, I would hate to be you!

In other words, they are fine. No need to stress from what I have seen and heard.
Happy for someone else to give different feed back of course
