Guys, I'm quite a numpty when it comes to wiring, so please take it easy on me....

I pulled the instrument cluster out of my LH Torana and I've got a Black earth wire I cannot find a home for....and I've lost all of my gauges. I still have Tachometer...

The wire is around 10" long and has a Holden narrow male spade terminal one end and was attached to earth near the steering column. I cannot find a harness for this wire.....can someone suggest anything?

Any help appreciated. TIA Rob.

Maybe someone ran a dedicated ground wire for your voltage regulator? There is a male terminal on the case of the regulator. But that is normally connected to the other ground wires of all the lamps. And then to the dash via the main plug.

The main dash harness grounds to the dash behind a screw where the ash tray recipticle mounts from memory.

Thanks Brad. Yes, there is a dedicated loom earth. Thanks for the tip, I'll have a look tomorrow after work.

Appreciate the suggestion.
