Hi all, just about to start on my G pack, all good so far. A bit of rust underneath the back window and a dent in the passenger door. Hope to have the paint off in the next couple of weeks and out to the paint shop. DaveAttached File  IMG_0008.jpg   383.94K   54 downloadse02bf7d1eec224224c4def55237ddfab.jpg

Woah that looks like a great starting point.

G-Pak's are a ripper of a spec of Torana out of the box. I don't mind your plans one bit.

That would be considered "very good" condition by today's standards.

Nice original crossply on the front. Is that a Firestone?

No rust in the radiator support panel, or behind the bonnet hinges. What a great body.

Id say excellent for a unrestored car.

Did you find the original stripes under the red paint?

Yep, the drivers door had the stripe under the last coat of paint and was chamois under that.

A query guys, who have people used for checking and recalibrating gauges and how much should it cost?

For the gauge cluster talk to Chris Curtis aka VDO who is on here. He's in Brisbane and very helpful. Cost will vary depending on what needs to be done. My tacho was shot. He sent me a new board which I installed and calibrated with his support. I think that was around $120 from memory.

Cheers, Steve.

Not a lot happening at the moment, just collecting bits and tidying up a few things. Helping my mate to finish his hatch, got a local show in a couple of weeks so hoping to have it finished and then we can get stuck into mine Attached File  IMG_0058.jpg   248.4K   26 downloadsAttached File  IMG_0057.jpg   226.71K   28 downloads

Looks like you've got a great car to start with Dave.

What colour is your G-pack?

Has your mate got a trick way to hold the scoop onto the bonnet and what colour is is the hatch?

Regards Mando.

The G pack is Mandarin Red. The hatch is Papaya, the scoop was just sitting there in this photo, It's bolted down now
