Still not 100 percent confirmed and still havent done a cracker to the car!

I’m pretty sure though going back to no flares is for me!!

I have a gentleman in Victoria looking into whether the car had flares added at a dealership. I think he said he has paperwork confirming most SLRs

Did dealerships report dealer fitted options back to Holden's?

Hi Mugginz, I wasn’t sure but guys I have spoken to previously had said no. This guy said he has some documentation. I’m waiting to hear back to confirm either way

If they were fitted at a dealership I’ll leave it with flares

That'd probably be what I'd do as well.

Does anyone have the left and right rear quarters available in case I go back? Or do rare spares have ready made panels?

Don't think rares have that repair section but wouldn't be massively difficult to make.

Got a bead roller?

Nope! I’m just a silly electrician but I’ll see what I can dig up

There is a metal shaping class in Perth that I might attend to find some skills! :)

I wonder if there's someone out there contemplating cutting their guards that might send the sections your way.

I have asked the question previously I think on gumtree. I was keen to swap front guards, that would save both of us time and money

If you hear of anyone please let me know. I’m hoping it will be a good year to get a Torana back on the road

Can you put up some clear pictures of the rear flares and the washers under the bolts? The flares certainly could be dealer fitted, along with most other L34 parts.

Yeh it’s a 6-74 build date on the tag. The official production date on the Holden letter is 15/07/1974 from memory

L34 was released July '74.
I wonder when the flare package was released as 'spare parts' for purchase ?

Mine is only an L31, but I would be curious to know also...I’m not sure if I can find out for certain where the flares were fitted. I guess most people have similar questions of their cars also

I used to have a complete “L34” mechanical conversion kit. Everything except the engine and pipes. All brand new with part numbers on everything. Wayne Quine got it off me many years ago. It was stubs, rotors, calipers, springs, steering arms, axles, rear brakes, brake hoses etc. I’m not sure if the guy I got it off also got the body kit, wheels and engine bits or not. Old memory but I think he did and only did the body and engine but never bothered with the brakes and other bits. He may have also fitted the sway bar.
