You can buy an excellent flaring tool for as much as it will cost to get new ones made. Can be used for fuel lines as well. Well worth it if you have more than one project.

Power Brakes SA will duplicate your existing lines as will any other brake shop. These guys are outstanding though and ship refurbished brake parts all over the world. Having said that brake tubes are a bit long and delicate to go shipping around the place. Buy a flaring tool and pipe cutter or take your old tubes to a local brake shop.

There is a Guy in Melbourne - Alex @ "The Brake Shop" - I think it's called - does an excellent Job - did A9X Style Front Brake Lines for me - fitted beautifully. Also did T700 Trans Cooler Lines - 0408121964.

They need to be packaged well. I had lines posted from VIC to WA for my LJ with no problems, but they were packed very well. The longer lines were tied to bits of thin flat bar to keep the shape & all the lines were tied together for strength.

thats were i got mine from, but he would not send the line that went from front to back, but i had someone in melbourne pick up pack and send to me,

they fitted well but i had a drama with short brake line on the diff as flare had a tiny split in it and leaked.

$30 will buy you 6 metres of bundy tube in a roll. Tube nuts $2 a pop. The flashest flairing tool on eBay $120 delivered. You’ve got a handy new tool and you’re still in front. It’s not rocket surgery.

Hi Lee.  I did as Clay has suggested and I am by no means mechanically minded but was able to do the lot and I am happy with the result.  Just need to be patient and take your time. I admit I had more problems with the fuel lines, particularly the larger line.  Here's the first attempt across the diff. Cheers Ron

Sorry should have added, I first tried with one of the larger type benders and had problems getting tight bends.  Borrowed a friends Irwin small bender and worked a treat.  Cheers Ron

I did mine with broom handle and vice jaws but haven’t done the fuel yet. Was thinking about buying a small bender. My EK van I’m planning to run dual circuit un-boosted on the firewall, VH40 under the rear floor to front discs, and un-boosted rears. Fair bit of plumbing to do there.

I haven't seen the line on a roll come out straight enough to not pick it, save yourself the headache & go to power brakes trust me, use your flare nuts if you can, no one re does them correctly in Australia yet. I will be changing that situation.

I bought 6 metre straight lengths from Glenelg South Brake service. It was dearer than the roll tube from car parts plus. Not that I’d recommend their services, looong story. Power Brakes may have relocated to Gilles Plains but still worth the journey.

Yes mate, that's where they are Giles plains, very good to deal with, to me the price of the straight lengths is worth it, i don't buy cheap stuff though. Gary.

You can buy or make tube straighteners as well.

Or measure roughly the required length & ask the supplier to straighten the tube. Get them to flare 1 end will also save you time.

Perfect opportunity to delete that ugly prop valve.

Where did you get your tubes straightener from Datto? eBay or local? I need one right about now 😁

Just drill a slightly over size hole through a 90mm pine section and draw the tube through. $105 be buggered.

lol. I had 3 pieces with a flare on one end. Cost me $100 + $60 for the bender.

Cheap compared to the $2500 fuckup that Better Brakes Mackay handed me back.

Straight pipe isn't to expensive, i bought a big bundle when i got mine, But I've got my lines & friends lines to do right through. & the 4 different benders + the tooling we've made. But then, we're looking for exact shapes, so they're 100% correct everywhere again. A good quality flaring tool is necessary i think.

Datto pm sent 😁

I’ve lashed out & bought an Eastwood pro flaring tool! Sooo much love for this!!!! 🥰
Not cheap but soon forget the cost when you use one!

After all the years of frOcking around with the cheap shit ones doing the same job over & over to get one good flare is crap!

The Eastwood is awesome fast & perfect every time 😁😁😁
