It had a light hit in the rear and it was a bit of a mess. I've managed to get it pretty straight. not sure I'll get it quite as straight as yours. I little bit of peel in my paint job will be called for I think. My panels won't be good enough for a mirror flat finish. I'm aiming for 95% perfection if there is such a thing lol

If you high fill a few times and use the dura blocks it will be straight mate!!!! It’s all the hard work in the preparation that makes the paint job.... I’m no professional but like yourself I have a crack that’s the best bit just keep going....eventually you get to colour stage I think I’m about 3 weeks away

My brothers HX circa 1986. Took us about 9 months to repair a small amount of rust and prep for paint. Two weekends alone just to ensure the four doors align properly. Only new panels were the genuine GTS guards.

I have 4 of those in my shed but they are 4.5” PCD. Option 52 on XY-XB I think. They were on my red GTS327 when I got it.

Thanks mate. She was a labour of love. Lots of midnight oil burnt and I know the neighbours were getting more than a bit pissed off with the compressor running late at night,

Got a set of 7" 4.24" PCD. They fit on the FB with 5mm spacers on the front but have to run 195 tyres or parking and three point turns are an effort.

Painting weather in SA at last. Good result Daz. You don’t want to be rubbing that, too fiddly. Having it horizontal helps. Nice and wet keeps overspray down. So acrylic sticks to the 2k filler alright?

Thanks mate yep spot on mate laying it flat helps ...yeah I was wondering the same thing about the acrylic over the high fill but the paint tech said with the debeer hs it’s not a problem to put acrylic over the top also spoke to a few guys in the trade as I was going to acrylic undercoat after I got it straight with the high fill lol.... I’m glad though because I’m over blocking hahaha...

Spot on!

Cheers mate
