Though it was time to get stuck into my mates hj gts monaro after me and my mate took it back to bare metal only one big surprise...the rh door was about 10 inches thick of bog so after searching for a door and finding most available were around 2-4k we decided to re skin it so far we have managed to unpick the old one....

Had to hunt around a bit to find the skin managed to get one through a place here in SA called Aveska autos.... yeah pictures it looked ok but every panel was a different colour obviously every previous owner had a crack at tidying it up it really needed to be stripped back and start again....I’m just surprised the door is the only really bad bit we found....

The finest of all the Monaro's in the 70's,..having personally owned 3 HJ GTS coupes at various times these in my opinion these are the best looking of all the Monaro's..the colours and dash layout etc..if i was buying again I'd buy a HJ before LE anyday of the week..anyway great work restoring this beauty,.if it was mine i'd be getting rid of the twin headlight front and putting a single front,..just my opinion good luck with it..

The rear quarter panels are killa on this car so with the NOS front and new door skin we should get it pretty damn straight
