I have the original bumper bar jack but am reluctant to carry it as I have new bumpers and expect it will leave a mark plus I would prefer to jack under the suspension particularly on the rear as my exhaust goes under the diff.

At present I carry my little garage trolley jack but that is impractical and I would like something simpler.

Have thought about getting a scissor jack from the wreckers from a Commodore/Falcon or similar weight car.

Any ideas, thoughts or suggestions?

What are others using?

Cheers, Tom

I don't mind the bottle jack that comes with the little toranas.

Small easy to store, goes quite low.

Not sure if this will work

Interesting, think that's similar to a HQ and after seeing it I might have one of them in a box somewhere

Thanks,

I think every Holden I’ve owned (I don’t count commodores) has had the bottle jack. Mainly base models and commercials. They are very handy for flaring the rear wheel arches too. 8)

I like the bottle/screw jacks too. Scissor jacks are scarey.

Ever since my trolley jack dented the inside 1/4 of my car at the time back in the ‘90’s I’ve just used a scissor jack.
I find them plenty stable enough and light, sure as hell wont roll around and dent my car that’s for sure
