Hi guys, I saw this and obviously just by looking at the stamping alignment the block has been re-stamped. But I am also thinking that all Torana blocks were trimatic/aussie pattern? But this one is chev/turbo. I can also see that there is no trace of red paint, just black and a few traces of blue. I think this was probably a 1984 WB Statesman. Am I correct?

Cheers, Steve.

85 would be VK.. .the WB was done by then

But can't think of a VK that would have had a turbo pattern

If its 75 ... HJ Statesman would fit the bill

Your right that there were no turbo pattern Toranas except one built in 77 and that one wasn't a HT block

Restamp for sure . In 75 and 76 most 308 blocks were turbo pattern seems all premiers and statesman’s got the turbo auto, so only Aussie pattern bolts were manuals . Just about every block I’ve seen on eBay from 75 and 76 is a turbo pattern . Aussie pattern in these years is quite rare even for a QT block
