I thought I could screenshot the picture and put it up, but my internet is running that slow tonight it would be faster to chisel it into a stone tablet and have 100 carrier pigeons drag it to you.

Is LH and LX the same? I can get my LH one out of the shed in the morning.

I don't want to give away too much here, but there are a couple of different Pedal Lever and Pivot assemblies. It shouldn't affect you Jonesy unless you have another car in the shed you aren't telling us about.

The pedals are different between 6 and v8. The pivot point is moved so the v8 cable has more travel and hence why the bracket on the floor has 2 holes so the pedal is in the same spot.

And the clutch pedal itself, but not just WB, HZ from mid 1978 too. I think Commodore is the same as well.

Heres the pedal from my hatch. It was a factory 6. Looks the same as yours Hanra.

Here are the 2 pedals I have.  The one on the left is, I believe from a H series car.  The one on the right I think/hope is a Torana one.  I note that it is slightly different to yours Scott (or maybe it's just the camera angle).  According to the parts catalogue, if I'm reading it right there is a different part # for the 8cyl pedal than the 4 & 6's but I haven't been able to find anything about this.  I also noted that the kickdown bracket for the H series is different from the Torana one (which I am trying to source at present).  Cheers Ron

I’ll check HJ-WB catalogues for you tonight to see if a Holden used different throttle pedals for 6cyl and V8. It is obvious Torana does so it makes sense that a Holden would too as the required cable movement at the carby shouldn’t change between Holden and Torana, I know the V8 carbs and the cable attachment is the same between them, I assume 6cyl is too.

I didn't think to look at my WB parts catalogue until you mentioned it yel327.  It shows different part numbers for 6 (#9933550) & 8cyl (#9933549).  I wonder what they look like.  FWIW the part # for the LX are 4 & 6cyl (#9933378) & 8cyl (#9933483). Cheers Ron

Toranamat69 that's awesome.  Do you have any idea of the different lengths from the top to the pivot point?  Cheers Ron

Thanks for the input there fellas. The comparison shot is awesome Toranamat.

I’ll have to check that I’m getting full throttle when the engine is in. I’m running a Holley ultra HP...

Gday Ron sorry i took a bit i had to dig the pedals out of the parts shed. That photo is a few years old.

Anyway as best as i can measure, the 6 cylinder pedal is 160mm from centre of pivot to top of bracket and the V8 pedal is 183mm.

Matt

Thanks Toranamat.  If I had of thought (hard for me sometimes lol) I guess it's the same measurement as between the different bolt holes in the firewall bracket.  Thanks again. Ron
