Hi all.  Just wondering if anyone has purchased the repro. bars from All Muscle Car Parts in NSW and are they ok.  In particular the painted/raw ones.  I have a set of bars in what I would call good condition but need to be de-chromed (I'm colour matching the car) and minor dent repair. I've been quoted $175 to de-chrome and $150 for repairs per bar.  I'm not saying that is unreasonable but I can buy the new ones for not much more and maybe just store the originals for another day.

Also anyone know the thread/size of the retainer nut for LX wiper switch.  Thanks in advance. Cheers Ron

I put repo ones on my car, chrome though not painted. They fitted perfectly!  The chrome looks good too, it will be interesting to see how it lasts although it won't have to be a great deal of time to better some re chroming jobs I have had done over the years

Yes they are all from the same factory.
Painted my front one with KBS on inside.
That didn't stop it rusting on the outside after 6 months. Another example of where original is best.

I had exactly the same question.  Useful feedback LHSL, thanks.  Think I'll go with AA Vinney's in VIC.

Yes I have the chrome ones on mine as well. So far so good. I painted the insides with a silver epoxy enamel and keep the outside coated with a spray polish sealer. Time will tell I suppose.

I bit the bullet and bought new front and rear bars.  Both painted but I will strip them back just to make sure nothing hidden underneath.  Only thing I have to do is drill the holes for the rubbers as I could only get undrilled bars.  Will let you know if I have any issues etc. Cheers Ron
