I have 308 starter motor stopped working, pulled it apart, the brushes are almost gone. is it worth repairing? They are quite cheap online now but I'm dubious about the quality. I bought one for 202 in LJ, motor not started for 5 or 6 yrs, pumped petrol through with some down carby and tried starting few times. Starter burnt out, no warranty. Put 35 yr old starter off of a LX on and it spun motor easily.

If it is suitable to be repaired, you can find the parts and someone to rebuild it and then go for it.

Can only be better than all the cheap chinese made crap we are being served up.
