Hi All,

I am looking at changing my rear disc setup and using different rotors to the current ones. I have VN front and rear rotors and was going to change to the DBA020 on the rear with a Wilwood caliper to match the front calipers. If I go slotted I will replace front and back so they match.

Although mostly a cruiser I like a fun drive on a windy road and hope to do some track days and hill climbs when work calms down.

Is it worth the extra cash for slotted rotors?

Do they get rid of heat better and consequently resist warping if used spiritedly?

The price difference is about $80 per pair for front or back.

Interested in any feedback if slotted are generally an improvement or just a visual treat?

Cheers, Tom

Vt - vy rotors are bigger & clear 15" rims, on a commodore or statesman v8, the size definitely makes a difference in the braking efficiency.

They dont affect heat rejection.
Slots are to wipe the surface of the pad clean, help remove the gas build up between the pad and rotor.
Slots do help.
You will find the limits of that size of brakes doing track days.
