L J Tail light surrounds have been for sale on E Bay for a while now, just wondering if anybody has got them and whether they fit up OK.

From what I've heard they're not a good fit with screw holes in the wrong spot.

Another forum member has told me the screw holes actually line up reasonably well but his have big gaps esp on the corners under the indicator lenses and just generally do not fit very well.

They may be passable to some people but def not a concourse quality replacement part. There is no substitute for OEM.

I purchased a set and returned them. They refunded the money no questions asked. The holes lined up pretty good with my tail lights. The only issue I had was they had a lot of dings on them. They advised me it was a tooling issue at the manufacturers.

Thanks for the feedback , does't sound like there worth $600 + dollars yet. Hopefully they will be better in future .

Hi folks, my mate Todd owns Rare Parts in Welshpool. He has just advised they now have repro. LJ tail light surrounds.  I am in Cairns, so no chance for me to pop in and have a look, but I am sure a WA local can and let others know about them.  Cheers Adam

Probably all from the same manufacturer with the same issues as mentioned above.

For sure they are the ones from Phil's Rotisseries.

Had a search of the RSP website and cannot find LJ tail light bezels listed anywhere.

Are "Rare Parts" in Welshpool, a RSP Store/Agent? Are the Tail Light Bezels a RSP product?

Googled them and their address says they are in Bentley.

Best tell them not to waste their money buying any more of Phil's bezels. They are rubbish.

Maybe a WA member can go see Todd at Rare Parts and have a look and let us ( and Todd) know if they are useable or rubbish. I’ve known Todd 30 years and even though I’m on the other side of the country, we keep in touch.  He’s a monaro man through and through, a thorough petrolhead and I am sure would want to know if the parts were no good.  If a WA member can let us all know that would be great.

Adam, just ask Todd where he is sourcing them from next time you are speaking to him.
