Hi,can anyone help with the manufacturers ID of this cam please. It doesn't look very old and I would like to reuse it providing it's not anything too radical. It came installed in a 253 red engine I purchased recently. Cheers everyone.

I guess to save alot of F-assing around, search out a local reputable engine machinist, to get its profile checked, and advice if can be reused?

Spoke to clive about a month ago, he told me there's problems getting blanks imported from america.

He reckoned there's none around.

Same news from tighe. Holden 6, v8, fjords too.

Dean at tighe suggested sending him one to regrind

One of them did mentioned billets, though. Might be worth a call if you're willing to spend the extra dosh.
Can't quite remember the availability story with those.

Good luck

Did you figure out whose stamps they are on that cam, jason?

Good thing you have one, even crow cams are thin on the ground on ebay, just weeks ago they were everywhere!

Strat, check the online shops one of them might still have one on the shelf

A lot of the blanks are made in India. They are in a mess with covid. Demand in Aust is through the roof. Glad I had one ready to go when I put the 179 together.

Send it to a cam specialist, they should have a "cam doctor" setup to evaluate camshaft. Prob cost you $30/40.00 to get an accurate answer. Clive cams has such equipment I know.

Cheers everyone, I could never work out why Cam manufacturers don't stamp them with their company name and grind numbersfor easy ID. Wouldn't you be proud to have people using your product.

And sorry but I haven't found any info on it. It looks like a quality unit though.
