Has anyone fitted a Davis Craig electric water pump to a holden 6, I've just come across a problem, that when you go to fit the v belt from the balancer to the alternator the v belt is going to hit the timing marker that's on the timing case due to not enough angle.

Can you possibly mount an idler pulley some where so belt follows close to original path not knowing what there is where old pump was makes it hard to answer but seems like the easiest solution to me

If your running a Davis craig then you have probably just made a plate to go over the water pump with a jic fitting in it to the pump???

If so, why not make the plate out of like 20mm alloy (if you havnt already) and mount a small idler to that....

Cheers.
