forum members and myself are trying to locate John Bennet. he is the guy how rebuilds and flow tests water pumps and invented the Echotherm external bypass system which consists of a thermostate placed in the bottom hose and associated hoses and fittings which is said to redirect water better thru the motor to remove heat from the heads and place it around the bores to better distribute heat in the engine for more consistant heating around the bores leading to more equall combustion.
last known contacts were;
Echotrans 9338 4344 (10 years ago) and
Echotherm (03) 9338 5311 (2 years ago).
neither of these numbers are correct now and nobody knows him there.
can you help us....

I'd like to contact him as well. I used a modified version of his system that my brother and I turned up on the lathe. Was very happy with the results. Even though I could do that again, I'd like another one of his modified pumps. He was at 23 Webb St. in Airport West, but was gone when I checked a couple of years ago.

Got this from a google search:

John Bennett from Ecotrans who developed the Ecotherm can be located at Innovative Technologies Pty Ltd, 36 Lillee Cres, Tullamarine. Tel 03 9338 1988.

Also found this:

If your unable to find John or his product, try phoneing Audiofurn in Perth, ask for Derk Brocx, he holds the design and manufacturing rights these days and has recently had a run fabricated and available, but they aint cheep!

Hope this is accurate.

Another lead:

The Eco-Therm fluid management system was originally invented by Melbournes John Bennet, although various specialists including John Eleuteri from Guildford Radiators in WA have now picked up on the idea.

Once again, hope this is all good info.

There is a person in the Eastside Cruisers that has the contact details of him, but I haven't seen her for a while and I can't confirm when I'll see her next, lol. Good luck with the info that Chopper scratched up.

After researching the theory a bit more I believe the the only real benefit for the holden V8 is the pump modification as the rest is basically the same as the factory set up.
