If this is the correct address, then it isn't available for viewing.

Thanks Chopper, slight problem :furious: It was up BUT Yahoo shut it down and sent me an e-mail stating -

[QUOTE]Usage of your Yahoo! GeoCities account was recently identified to be in violation of the GeoCities Terms of Service, and the site and GeoCities account associated with Yahoo! ID (tastoranaowners) have been closed.

Your web site was identified as containing logic redirecting viewers to another site. The GeoCities Terms of Service states that you cannot use your GeoCities home page (or directory) as storage for remote loading or as a door or "signpost" to another home page, whether inside or beyond Yahoo! GeoCities. For more information, please see the Terms of Service at http://smallbusiness...com/tos/tos.php.

If you feel that your account has been shut down in error, please contact Yahoo! GeoCities Customer Care at [email protected].

I will be taking this up with them, so stay tuned!

OK site is back up BUT I have to remove all the links within 2 days or Yahoo will shut it down again. I will leave the links section but just wont activate the hyperlinks. Sorry to all the clubs and to this forum who we were linking to.

I'll update the site as requested when I get home tonight.

On a positive note, Yahoo's response was very quick & helpful (thanks Aiden) so we could get this sorted and the site back up.

In the mean time, I'm endeavouring to talk to Shannons to see if they would host our site.

Thanks Knoath. I'm glad you saw it, however I was perhaps a bit too quick with my praise of Yahoo! They gave me 2 days to remove the links but they just shut me down again now while I was fixing it - NOT HAPPY :furious:

Stay tuned AGAIN!!

Rod Belbin, our local Shannons guru is helping us out so we're going to set up our site with them.

Stay tuned!

Everybody else is probably waiting as well, which is why it prolly hasn't happened. Need to find a champion to take the bit between the teeth.

Frustrations, still nothing. Can't wait to have a bo-peep. Saw Gary at the servo Friday afternoon, and he reckoned there's some nice cars with equally nice owners down there.

I have signed the required papers with Shannons and I'm waiting to hear back.

Thanks for the positive comments. Hang in there, it will happen :spoton:

dunno bout that one.

in my opinion in order to actually own and drive a torana, you have to be somewhat of an asshole. no one else on the road actually deserves to be there unless there in another torana.

nah jokes, i for one will certainly be doing my bit for the GMH-torana site and the new tasmanian torana site/club if it becomes one.

cheers, michael

Goodluck with the new Tasmanian Torana Club website Eagle. I can't wait to check it out and include it on the Holden Car Clubs of Australia Directory. Please let me know if there's any way I can help. Cheers, Tim.

Just an update - we're still waiting to hear officially from Shannons.

While in limbo, I thought there's another way to skin the cat so here's our site on Yahoo! again but under another link -

My Webpage

I know the Our Cars small pics aren't working but if you click on the frame the big pics load fine. Sorry, I'll fix tomorrow but it's late & after a few fine Jimmy Boags (beers), bed is calling :tease:

Got some fine tuning to do but at least the site works & I haven't been shut down

good to see the site is up with its own dedicated domain, the offer for the pics i took at the A9X nationals is still there, i'll have to get off my arse and become and official member in the new year.

Maybe include a few pics of past events the club has been envolved in when time allows as ive seen them before and they are quite impressive and would make the club look more active and attractive to potential members.

G'day red6 & thanx for the comments. With the move to our own domain, I've got heaps of space on the server. I have all the pics from our previous runs that I will be adding over the next few weeks, so visit often. I'll be doing an update today but no extra pics yet.
