I like the idea of a twilight cruise, especially with the good weather we have been having, just a thought would it be better to have it on a Saturday night not the Sunday?

The Twilight Cruise was just a suggestion from Peter because he's got a party Saturday night and he wanted to be able to come to the cruise; he could if it was Sunday night :P bahahaha

Andrew, get a mod to stick a poll saying "Twilight Cruise" or "Daytime Cruise" if you're indifferent. It would be good if we could decide soonish though.

EDIT: HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETER, w00t 21 at last!

Hey all,

Following repeated suggestions that we do this as a twilight for the 'hotties' amongst us, and from reliable sources that the weather on Sunday may reach... 38 degrees :fool: Perhaps we should lean either towards another date or different time.... what do people think?

The weather forcast from BOM says:
Friday
Late change. Min 17 Max 31

Trend for Saturday, Sunday and Monday
Mainly fine. Warm to hot.

I was leaning towards Sorrento, but am thinking if we do evening a suggested route could be:

* 5pm meet at the Stamford Hotel cnr Wellington & Stud Rd. (Mobil servo opposite).
* Cruise down Stud Rd, turn left on to Monash Freeway (we can pull over before the freeway section to make sure we are all together).
* Turn on to Sth Gippsland Hwy, then Dandenong Hastings Rd
* Turn right onto Cranbourne-Frankston Rd, which becomes Beach St.
* Stop 1 - Frankston Pier approx 6:00pm
* Continue towards city along Napean Hwy, through Seaford, Carrum, Bonbeach, Chelsea, Edithvale.
* Stop 2 - Edithvale. grab a pizza or fish n' chips for dinner. approx 6:20ish
* Edithvale Rd, becoming Springvale Rd. Turn right onto Cheltenham Rd, till we reach Stud Rd again, and then we can cruise back to the Stamford together or head seperate ways....

We don't have to do this this w'end if it is too late notice for everyone. Let me know what you think - I have tried to keep it short, sharp, fuel friendly and away from trouble spots... may find an alternative to the Frankston pier... heheh. Let me know, am keen to cruise anywhere!

Cheers!

Yeah that looks good, the evening cruise "should" suit me better, im not sure where my baseball game is, but if its 38 i might not survive baseball and die and not feel like doing anything except sitting down and drikning beer!

Yeah 41 is just a lil hot for the old toranas i reckon, and me as well, i am going to just roast at baseball, maybe i should chuck a sicky, or fake an injury! haha But i say set a date in a few weeks time and people will organise themselves around it!
