For the past 3 years HTC has held a gold coin donation cruise, with all proceeds going to this site to help with costs or promotions.

Originaly we co-ordinated it state wide and it was very successful. The original plan has been lost over the past couple of years, so to all clubs and torrie owners how about we get it happening again.

HTC will be having their yearly Forums cruise on Sunday March 18th meeting at 10am, further details in club events soon.

Of course there is :P

We have members from most Torana Clubs around Australia active on the forum, so why not those that are on here speak to your clubs to put forward the All State Cruise again.

I know the one we had in QLD was a great success and everyone had a ball. It can also be a recruitment drive (but doesnt have to be) to bring in new members for the club, or just a get together with Torana owners who just want to cruise.

:furious: what happened to my post from yesterday, it's not there

Well here it goes again
Yeh bring it on National cruise time.
As March is not really that far away, I wonder if the Mods could put a sticky in the Genral Discussion section so every one will notice. Most of the forum traffic for this site goes there so will be seen by all. I'd go as far as suggesting a sticky for each state. The reason I suggest this is that I would like to see as many cars as possible attend Australia wide to make this a big annual event. Suggested title for sticky [insert state here] Annual GMH-Torana Forum Cruise 18th March.
I would also like to see it as $2 donation (or more if people like) which goes to the forum. Half to be donatated to the Brock Foundation on by half of the forum members and the other half helps pay the running costs of the site.
The General Discussion section would need a bit of a tidy up thou as it's fairly crowded with sticky's

What do you think Mods?
What does everyone else think?

I just checked the mod logs and I can't find any evidence of a post being deleted in this thread

You think people read stickys ?
They don't seem to read the one on forum rules in Swapmeet section anyway

Regardless
Yes I think we should promote this further
I don't think we (the forum) need to get any money out of this. I'd like to see all the money go to a worthy cause like the Brock Foundation or the Dattoman SS rebuild fund.

Post it and I'll pin it
Assuming someones going to organise these cruises

Datto I didn't think anyone would have deleated the thread at your end. Have had heaps of errors with pages not loading completly and wierd shit happing when I post things some time on the my work puter. I don't get on and post much from home so not sure if it's happening from the home one as well. Blank screens, eror pages. On every other ocassion the post still made it. It looks like not this time. Not having shots at any mods, sorry if it was interperated that way.

^^^ yeah i had the same problem yesterday. i typed up a new topic etc hit post, the error message came up, but i thought it still worked but didnt post. After that i couldnt be bothered typing it all up again :(

Yeah datto, on the stickies, i dont think people really read them, i never notice new ones, and i dont notice if they have been replied to or anything. so i accidently stumble across them too late! haha

R Melbourne people keen on a cruise?

maybe funds to come here then totalled and forwarded to the Brock Foundation, thats if the websites bills r covered for the year. But the whole idea was to all come together and raise funds to show our grattitude to you for making Torana owning smoother. Without this site it takes forever to find out basic info.

From a forum point of view, Our bills are more than covered for the coming months thanks to the generous donations of our members and sponsors ( Rare Spares).

Any funds raised could and should be donated to a charity of choice, and i'd be more than happy to organise this.

NOW...

We really need to kow if Sydney people would attend an organised day? we've been a bit slack in cruise days and the like since the awesome Drive in cruise that alot of people came to!

I'd be happy to organise another cruise day as part of the all states plan! I just hope there are some Sydney (and surrounds) People that will come along!!!

Cheers
