4 day turn around from Engineer submitting report to DoT, to DoT sending me formal approval to go to an inspection centre

That is some sort of record for W.A DoT with all the other long waits including 13 weeks for the pre approval!

Not long until happy cruising with the family

1285 kg’s With a full tank, diff and tranny, very impressive.
Did you end up putting down any Dynomat type sound deadner or stick with the factory stuff?
Car look the goods mate, well done and look forward to seeing it out and about 👍🏽

Nah mate both places in town not doing any until Monday week. I have to put the original glass in the left side (70's tint on the blue doors won't pass inspection)

Also need to attempt at painting the left doors myself with some of those premix cans (probably be an epic fail but going to have a crack anyway)

If my paint attempt is a massive fail i have a painter friend that could do a driveway job for me but i want to have a crack myself. Since i got scammed a few years back at the only second time i'd let a workshop do work for me that i don't feel capable of doing i've been trying to educate & do things myself

Nothing fancy like a full respray will be happening any time soon, i just want to get out cruising with the family

I potato'd that it was actually 1280 on the nose. Still has the immaculate factory deadener. Plan to retrim the complete interior in the future so will dynomat it later. The exhaust is super tame as per legalities so noise isn't an issue

My big brother who has helped me since day one and the reason i even bought a Torana (cause he had one) got to drive the car for the first time yesterday, the smile for all the hard yards was totally worth all the pain it has been

Well that was a wild ride but today the Torana passed roadworthy inspection and now fully engineered and street registered with the Cammed LS1!
