Have fun getting thick, fat tyres with white writing on them in 12 years...

Unless you want 4WD tyres. and even those will probably be low profile by then.

where theres demand theres business. if people still want something that may be becoming obsolete i see no reason why they would stop producing something? or is there another take on it that im not seeing?

The grey one is nice, the other two (IMO) are overdone. Not a fan of white writing either, but thats just my tastes, if we all liked the same thing....boring.

why wont they make big tyres in 12 years??? r u saying there will be no drag racing or motorsport in 12 years? they need thick tyres.... perhaps they will be electric cars but cars still need tyres

who knows perhaps 36 yrs ago someone said they wanted thick fat tyres on their torana and someone said have fun gettin em nowadays :)

anyway thats just my opinion and my opinions r facts cos im never wrong so i guess end of discussion :tease:

Why do you need high profile tyres for drag racing? And alot of motorsport is now using low profile tyres on 17's etc...

Why would you say 'like', in that context, on a forum?

...... ..........FARK ARP!!!!! omg lol

why would u question my motives for using the word 'like' in any context, on an internet forum?

Because generally, when 'like' is used in the context that you used it in, it's because the one saying it is stalling for time. On a text based method of communication, it's just pointless. Like saying 'umm' on a forum.

well u just said like twice, r u stalling for time? no..... to tell the truth when u asked me why i said "like" i had to read everywhere to find where i used the word and didnt realise i said it. u do know that a meaning of "like" is 'resembling or similar' so basically i was saying it is similar to being way off topic..........

but tell me why we are now arguing about the word like and the context in which i used it?

also why did you just say "because" twice in one sentence when u only needed to once. you basically repeated yourself in a text based method of communication. that was just pointless, if one were to be reading your post and see you wrote "because", it would imply that you were giving a reason for something. you didnt need to repeat urself if they misread it they could have just looked back at the 1st because........okay now im talking shit

rim u masterdebater, u win, now back on topic

If you have that much "dish" on an unflared car. Imagine how expensive it would be to get the whole rear end modified to suit. Tubs, Relocation of shock mounts, extremely shortened diff. No doubt it looks nice....But Tim, you forget that the original starter of this thread was making a STREET car for his son. Not a fancy pants SHOW car.

OT - Jake stop sounding like Paris Hilton and Tim stop being so nit picky (some people may find it offensive).

Ok So I first posted back in 07 and over the years the Torana sat without rego and no plans untill late in 09 when we decided to do a full nut and bolt resto ,so this is where she is at today, stll a way to go but heading in the right direction.
The color is casino blue as per the tags paint code .the pic shows it to be a little darker than in the flesh .
Im building a 365 stroker working towards 440ish hp at the wheels . hope to have it done by this time next year .

Im now looking for front stopping upgrades ,if anyone has a off the shelf bolt on remedy please let me know , Im looking to go for new parts ,I have read a little on the Hoopers stuff, has anyone done it yet ? also looking for diff options and auto box , the guys from LW Engineering is giving me some guidence regarding this but I would like to have a few options and opinions .

thanks in advance i cant wait .
