Cruise to Heathcote Drag Day

As the title says, thanks to a question asked by Rene, this thread should contain any talk about a cruise to the Heathcote Drag Day.

Last year there was a meeting point at K-mart Tyre and Auto, (Cnr Mahoney's Rd and Sydney Rd) Campbellfield, for the northern and western suburbs members.
I'd like to suggest we meet here again, heading straight up Sydney Rd to join the Hume Hwy.

If someone could confirm the starting time at Heathcote, we can agree on a time to meet. (I think we left by 9:00am last time, for a 10:30 meet at Heathcote?)

So to keep the Drag Day thread clear for attendance confirmations, please post replies for a cruise here.

Heathcote kick off time is 11 Am... Arrival by 10:30 would be advised so that you can get scrutineered and get racing!

Are you flying down?
15 min drive from Tullamarine, Via Ring Rd, left off at Hume Hwy. K-Mart is on the right.

Simmo's flying down, I'll be driving down and picking her up at 8:30 at the airport...

will either try and hook up at the cruise meet point.. OR i might head up early so that i can help set up again like last time!

We're gunan need some volunteers too to help hand out time slips this time!

As Rodomo said, if you exit the Airport travelling along the Tullamarine Fwy, take the Western ring Road turnoff, you'll eventually see a Hume Hwy turn off.

Exit left and 400m up the road at a large intersection (Sydney Rd and Camp/Mahoney's Rds) you'll see Kmart on your right.
Continue through to the next set of lights and turn right into car park.
We'll be on the left out the front of Tyre and Auto.

the big problemo is I will probably be working till 12 on the friday nite unless I can pull some strings. I can pick you up from a pub on my way home though!

I've got a question.
Has anybody organised any accomodation for the Saturday night?
Mrs Knoath will be up for the day, so no tin lids!
Up for a meal, a few sherberts and a good old chin wag. Spewin I missed the get together last year, so want to make the most of the gathering.

Dick, I havent organised anything as yet but i'll need somewhere to stay in bendigo again with simmo for the saturday night. The feed/drinks and chat was one of the highlights of the last trip thats for sure!

I've hit a bit of a snag with work.. we've got a BIG project that's gotto be completed by.... 28/4/07..... and i'm the one running it as my old man's just had a hernia operation!

So HMmmm plans are a bit up in teh air for me at the moment!!!

Does anyone know if bendigo is full for any reason this time? I think last time was the comm games or some crap!

Might have to make some enquiries.

How many people are looking at staying the night and need accomodation?
I'll need to get some numbers.

yeah, i think maddy wants us to stay at a motel, for maybe the Friday and sat nights.... I should have probably looked into this by now!
