That head looks like it means business! :D

Nice to see there is a few guys out there still building 6cyl torana's. This should be one wild ride with a head like that being forced fed. /me druls.

I should get my ass into gear and get some more work done on my torry! It's in the shed in a similar state atm.

Cheers

Awesome. Are you getting a so called tuned length manifold fabricated or just a log style manifold?

I took the easy way out, my first turbo build is using the strata manifolds. I may look at making a custom intake to make it blow thru later down the track. Might even get a custom exhaust manifold fabricated up depending on how far i can push the strata manifold.

Cheers

Wouldn't mined a tuned length manifold but might end up with a log, depends on room as my head wont fit a strata manifold, have a look at the drawing I put up on the first page and you will see why I might run out of room

Estimated 500 hp at the flywheel could be more, but thats boosting the crap out of it and putting a pretty wild cam in to
I am putting a mild turbo cam in and running low boost to start with then I will go from there
Most of the power comes from the head it can flow a lot more than the block could handle, if I wasnt worried about the block I could get 600 plus hp at its expense

Are you investing in one of 82911's crank girdles? If you intend to push the envelope then it would be worth the effort. What boost do you intend on running? With a crank girdle (and other upgraded hardware) I have seen 202's handle 30psi in circuit racing conditions.

Interesting engine project you got going there, its certainly going to turn out to be a real monster.
Does JZed heads make ones for the VL Turbo blocks? And if so, did you consider using one of those? I've been told there a little bit more bullet proof than the standard 202 block.

not going that far with the bottom end, I dont what to boost it up that high and not doing that much work to the crank will hopefully stop me me from wanting to

Was going to use a Wolf V500 but might go with a microtech
as for the pipe I did want to use steam pipe but couldnt get the right size I needed so I just used normal pipe and I will be getting them ceramic coated then they will be heat wraped

Fair enough with the nissan thing, are you making any modifications for/to the oiling system?

I have got a oil cooler for it; I just have to find room
And for the turbos the oil line will be passing though the auto cooler in the radiator
