I've used a VK dizzy and coil in XU1 type engine and 7500rpm and never remember having a problem.
But in my 202 turbo where I have a VK dizzy with guts taken out for EFI plus MSD6A I do have what I consider a miss fire at 6700+rpm. I did swap VK dizzys and msd but stayed the same. It never bothered me as there was never any need to take it to that RPM anyway as the power was made much earlier but still good to be able to take it cleanly to 7000 rpm just for the fun of it..
Maybe time to swap back to a points setup but I've thrown all those ones out years ago.

Has it got to do with velocity fluctuations of the shaft at high rpm due to the magnetic field at the reluctor?

Does the gear rattle in its backlash at these rpm?

And does this cause the top half of the shaft to float as well?

Plastic gears go brittle and snap's tooth's off,

which has happened to my WB Tonner electronic dissy.

Brass is the go, non-magnetic,

which this one came with my Tighe's steel cam:-
