Sorry for the late reply CI 0308, but yes my SLR didn't have flares when I brought it from a car yard in Nth Hobart in august 81. There was a yellow & black SLR in the yard at the same time which from memory came from Oatlands.

Hey Brett, I know the guy with that supermint A9X for sale, he lives about 40mins away from me. The guys at work told me he had it for sale but I haven't talked to him for a while, I think he is also selling the blue monaro in the Pics and buying some sort of new series commodore, not too sure. Very nice car though and won't be happy to see it go, although it's not out very much, mainly for shows.

I have a few pics of other genuine cars around the state, if people are interested.

Cheers

Les

is my ol LX hatch
LX 0077 still down there, was gold, but then painted red.
last seen in Launceston, Kingsmeadows i think
i too in working in WA currently.

Interesting fact:
Tasmania has more holdens sold per head (one head, please!) of population than any other state.

LX0077 no record on file for this number plate in tassie.

I know someone who had a white l34 then painted
red/orange in the 90's, still here in hobart.

thought of another one for you ci0308, an l34 barbados green all original very low k,s Hobart based the guy has had it since nearly new I think it had gold highlighted hotwires on it last time I spotted it . a close friend has been in it, the owner loves it too bits, wont mention his name.
just to blow tassies trumpet what about the monster circuit racer that cleaned up the national street car champs in the 90's more than once, beating the best from the big island, the gold 4 door with 350 chev not sure think it was an LX ?. Was for sale last year for 26k still here i think.

I worked on the Hydro (HEC) When the Franklin Dam was getting built,in the HEC Kitchen, and in 1983-1988 we used to do trips to Tullah every now and then, at the Tullah HEC Kitchen,Now one of the chefs there owned a Barbados Green L34 Torana with Hotwire Mags,it had a very hot motor in it,he took me for a Quick lap in it up the Big long Strait before u turn into where the HEC Camp is,im sure he was from Hobart the Chef.
The HEC stopped Dam Building in 1994,so the chef would of took it back to hobart, its the Only Barbados Green L34 i have ever seen here.

Lee Wallace in Queenstown in the late 1980's had a Yellow L34 and it had Race Seats in it, not the original L34 Standard Rana Seats, and it had the Track Pack, very fast road Car, im sure he had L34 on the Tassy Number Plate.
