Can someone elaborate on this alleged smash on the Tasman Bridge for me please, I've yet to hear a definitive account of this rumoured event.

in a way its good that i have mentioned it as you will now find out who's spreading a bullshit story,didnt think i'd have to question pete as he's a very genuine bloke

Black A9X from Tassy.gif

Where is it now, the Black A9X Hatch that was in Hobart for years, owned by a Camera-Man that worked for TVT6 a local Hobart TV Station, now owned by WinTV.
Last i heard it was in Queensland, any one got any pics of the Black Tassy A9X

can anyone remember in 1985 a Black on Black A9X 4 door that was for sale for $19,990 at Bruce Stevenson Toyota on Hobart Road, Kings Meadows, Launceston. Does anyone know what happened to it, was it sold locally or did it go interstate?

I think the one you are talking about went to the mainland, it's still alive as it was for sale a few times in Sydney, it's the car with the Dealer fitted Air Con, i don't think it was Sold from Tasmania when brand new, as I think it was from the mainland from new and was in Tassie in the 1980's, but there was Two Black A9X 4-Doors Sold New from Motors Hobart and a Black A9X Hatch with White interior.

cool, always wondered what happened to this car, I remember walking into the dealership showroom at 16 and drooling all over it, always wanted to own that car,

if it did return to the mainland and was in the Sydney area then I am pretty sure I know where it is today - the original owner was a mechanic for the Holden dealership where he purchased it new in South Australia

Looked it great condition from the Photos of it when it was for sale a few times, I think it was on Ebay as well plus the car yard that had it.

Apparently there were 11 Tuxedo Sedans but only 3 with Chamois trim, a little hard to tell from those photos but that looks like black trim?

Is that a recent ad Al, and do you know which dealer?

thanks for the feedback Al,

it is the same car that are in the ads you posted on this forum and the car does have history links to Tassie back in the mid 80's and its also has the dealer fitted a/c so it seams to be the same car I raise the question about regarding the one in the Kings Meadows showroom back in '85

I am trying to piece as much history together about this car for its current owner and would appreciate if anyone has info or photos directly relating to this particular A9X so it can help to complete it history

The Two Black A9X 4-Doors that were Sold New from Motors Hobart, one is still in Tassie the other over the mainland and the Black A9X Hatch with the White interior is over the mainland as well.

This is great reading... Here's my Fact... My Father used to work for Motors and bought brand new one of 5 Genuine L34 Torana's bought into Tasmania. It was Barbados Green... If anyone knows the whereabouts of the car that would be amazing...
