Nobody who's new to the forum would know how to search or look at stickies.

Why don't we have a new sub-forum on How to post pics.

And it can just have one topic locked in it. On how to post pics.

The ones most dont read?

In theory it is a good idea Rodomo but it has been proven time and time again that the stickies dont get read until someone points out where they are to people.

No, what I meant was having a section maybe above "General discussion" that introduces the forum and its requirements. Bigger heading than other topics and harder to miss. Current members could reference it too if they forget how to do something. Leave the stickys where they are too. I havent seen something like this (although I haven't looked hard either :fool:

) but nothing "hits me in the eye either, so to speak.
Just a suggestion.

We could rename it to
READ THIS BEFORE YOU POST SOMETHING STUPID

i agree it can be hard to figure out where to post and how, but even if you put a big flashing light over an "L" plate with the words this is how to post topics an pics people will still F it up.

Would definitely help. Could also encourage us to aim higher to put more stupidera things in and give ya's more to complain about !!!!

I think they should be teaching how to post pics in forums in primary skewls anyways ...

i have no idea what any of you are talking about let alone trying to find certain links and searches etc, this site is fairly diffucult to navigate around... it has just taken me over 2 hours to work out how to put a pic on here and i think i have even done that wrong and made it my signature... argh...

Ive been stuffing around for ages now trying to upload pics properly.
I got them into photobucket,and organised them there.
Ive used the search option on this site to look for instructions,and have come up with mostly obsolete or confusing information.

Can somebody PLEASE supply me with an idiots guide to posting photos.
Step by step would be perfect.Like the one Datto did,before photobucket apparently changed.
Please avoid Technobabble.
Yes,I know I am older than 30.

Pinning these instructions somewhere easy to find them would also be helpful.

And could mods please delete all the obsolete old threads regarding this subject.

Craig,
Once you've got the images into photobucket, put your pointer onto the image. JUST onto the image, dont click on it.
A little box will/should drop down and at the bottom will be a 'IMG' box with a bunch of letter/numbers in it.
Click ONCE in the box next to the 'IMG' and the text will he highlighted.
Right click, then click copy.
Paste the text into a reply.
When someone views the reply normally, the image will/should show up.
Best to put just one 'IMG' code per line of text.

When I move my pointer over the picture,nothing drops down
Above my pics(each individual pic) it reads
