I'm sure a good model shop would be able to point you in the right direction.

Just used a gentle pressure to break the glue with a flat bladed screw driver under the edge of the lens. If you're careful they separate no problem. I did it quite a while ago and removed the best lenses from two other gauge pods to get a good set, now I see new ones can be bought from raresparesHow did you get the old lenses off?
Ian
Anyway thanks for ths suggestions for glue, I'll see what I can get hold of from the model shops.

I know it's 8yr old but no point starting a new thread if you can drag up an old one.
Has anyone else got any other suggestions for gluing the lens' on the gauges.
So far there is superglue: i tried it but it didn't stick and it run a bit, modelling glue and Tarzans grip.

What does it matter if it goes cloudy?
You don't see the outsides of the lens when the binnacle is fitted.

Same lens as Rare sparesNo I think I used spares city or something like that through ebay. Mine seem to fit well. The araldite is just slightly flexible so it won't just crack and let go like superglue does. I just put many small dobs all the war around it.

If it's an LH or LX, be careful if you're using aftermarket lenses like Rare Spares.
The lenses are good quality, however they're slightly larger than the originals and move around a bit while placing them down on the lens housing. As a result you can end up with glue smeared all around the edges, some of which is visible when fitted with the facia in place.
Apply the glue sparingly to THE HOUSING, not the lenses, and place the lenses down VERY carefully, then, don't touch them or they'll move around and you end up with a mess and the glue can't be removed without completely messing up the lenses.
I know this first hand, from the very first time I had to fit some... Smarter now.

A few small dobs of clear silicon would probably work as well, would also hold it in place a bit better while it sets overnight?

I used superglue.
As Chris said the Rares ones are a tad bigger than the original,
I found mine didn't quite have the correct curve so i had to hold them on till the glue set.
