Hey guy's, I strongly recomend getting one of these baby's. Its worth its weight in gold when fixing rust, particulary on the C pillars. Dont bother with the cheap ones. They are $99 or $129 for the one with the atatchment to get into tiny gaps at bunnings, its well worth the investment :D

thanks Dan, arrived today look great.

In your pics, whats the trick in getting the "seam line" (or join line) in as per original ?

No trick really, just Take your time making your repair panels so they will fit together nicely with a 1/2mm gap around them. My shed just flooded again last night so I'll have to deal with that before I get back into mine
Cheers, Dan

My seam line is currently missing under a load of bog !

I can now see why the dremel grinder is needed.

Dan, looking at your pics, did you drill the spot welds out from the original channel section ?

Also I take it you drilled holes in the new channel section to mig weld in ? :D

Dan, looks a very good fit. Damn good welding too (he says jealously).

If you make another batch, count me in. No rush, as I'd just like to have a set available, not for any current project.

Cheers,

Dangerous

I actually just swaped the last pair for a reproduction hatch console Escutcheon panel. They are $80 if any one needs one.
Thanks, Dan
