G'day All

This was advertised on ebay as "HOLDEN TORANA OLD DISPLAY BOXES" and when it arrived at my place, it confirmed what I had thought it was in the first place. :spoton:

It is a translucent back-lit sign that measures 72cm tall by 64cm wide by 145mm deep sides.

If the seller had correctly described it I am sure he could have doubled the price I paid for it.

I will make up a back for it and light it up with a double 2ft flouro light. :spoton:

Regards ........... Barry

Hey Baz, make a back for it, but use a 32W round fluro.

Bunnings (etc) sell an oyster light for about $30.
Take off the 'bubble' and you have a nice fluro set up that
would illuminate that nicely.

If I told everyone my trade secrets for finding some of these treasures then there would be none left for me

Charlie McCarron at Canowindra has a large "HOLDEN" one in his old dealership garage but like every thing else from Charlie, the price is quite steep.

This one cost me $134 to my door and I think that was a very reasonable price for something so RARE.

The ebay seller did have others of which by memory one was "MONARO" which went for $150, "KINGSWOOD" for $80 and I am not quite sure on what the others got but they were "PREMIER". "BROUGHAM" and maybe "BELMONT".

Regards ............ Barry
