^ That is how it should be, but are all machine shops in an adequately authorititive position to be given that responsibility?

Short answer? No!

Exactly, it's not hard to do at all and it doesn't effect your accuracy one little bit.

OK! Slight change in direction,
You have your block decked or a complete rebuild for that matter, you obey the law and get a VP number. You have every imagenable piece of paperwork from the day the car was purchased and all other numbers are totally matching to each other and the paperwork (which still has the original eng numbers on it too). How much $$$$$ wise does this really effect your value or sale price?????
Considering that a real one goes on sale somewhere in Australia that rarely that everyone on any automotive internet site knows about it within a few day's...And dont forget how good the money is for a clone these day's...

Somewhere in between the clone and the real deal ... but closer to the real deal price, maybe just a smidgen off due to it not being completely authentic. However this also depends on the person making the purchase and reason for such purchase.

Me for example, I wouldnt care that much as long as I could prove that it was an SLR and not that far from original that I would get my hard earned back some years down the track when I decide to sell.(probably because this is also the situation I am in with mine having swapped my motor over lately)

If it was a collector they prob would continue looking elsewhere as it is a financial investment to them(most) and as such their money has to work for them and by purchasing a model that isnt quite right, their return isnt going to be as great with the near thing and better returns found elsewhere.

Bit like a coin.
To me they are used to buy and sell things with - to a collector, they need to be in mint condition, unused, stored away and re-sold later for a profit. So the better condition originally, the better return down the track when its time to move on.

Unfortunately your right. Can't argue with his knowledge on Toranas. Maybe delete who the author is?

I know that this isn't the place to discuss it, but I believe there is no more heinous crime than paedophillia. And since this has come to light with Red, I have been doing a bit of googling and I can not believe just how rife this problem is in Australia. The courts are full of these conts and everybody seems intent on protecting them. There are full findings for all court cases in Australia available to the public if you look in the right place, except for the court sentences given to rock spiders. I have written to the journalist from The Daily Mail who wrote the above story trying to get some info, but even they won't (can't) help. I am quietly seething.

The big thing that worries me about these grubs.....there are enough of them around, that we must all just about know or associate with at least one of them, but we just dont know it yet, an may never know..
Sickening.

I have sadly worked with a few, including:

Abraham Stephanopoulos ended up convicted and did no time in jail. What a joke!

Andrew Churchyard topped himself when he was finally charged after more than a decade of offending.

Dennis Horstmann was unfortunately known to our family and has been convicted and done time more than once.

I think it is an error to believe they are curable.

This is where the problem will really begin.

It wasnt that long ago that homosexuality was against the law.

But with a huge push form the left, we were told that it is acceptable, and that we should celebrate them.

There will be more push form the left to have paedophilia normalised.

It wasnt a great deal of time ago that there was no age of consent.

Once girls got to child bearing age, they got married off.

That would have been less than 200 years ago.

Our society then decided to stop children from being married off at young ages.

A lot of times it would have been some sort of financial transaction.

Some cultures the parents got paid for girls. Other cultures got paid for boys.

Cheers

Rob

I can’t see something as abhorrent as paedophilia ever being normalised Rob. If it ever is it’d be the end of society as we know it. Even if the feral left push it I can’t see the bulk of people no matter their leanings standing for it.
